Ridgemont Resources, Inc. in Shelby, NC is seeking a professional Phlebotomist for a contract role with potential for permanent hire.

The position runs Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with an initial duration of 3 months and a possibility to extend. Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, maintaining accurate patient data, and complying with OSHA regulations.

Formación

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast paced lab or hospital setting
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year of experience

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures. Explains venipuncture process clearly and courteously
• Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles
• Understand physicians' orders. Match requisitions to tubes, label, centrifuge, and freeze as required
• Check test requisitions or computer label against script for 100% accuracy
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage
