Job summary

Modern Machining Solutions Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist to assist with blood draws, specimen handling, and documentation in a Shelby, NC lab setting.

The role involves accurate labeling, centrifuging, and maintaining specimen integrity under protocol and regulatory guidelines. The candidate should have a phlebotomy certification (where required) and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced environment, plus proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• CentriFuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Match requisitions with specimen tubes and ensure correct labeling.
• Package specimens for transport and store per protocol.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
