Job summary

Labcorp in Newark, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, collect specimens for drug screens, and ensure data accuracy and proper sample handling.

We offer daytime hours with occasional overtime and a comprehensive benefits package. A high school diploma or GED is required, and phlebotomy certification or accredited training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; phlebotomy certification or accredited training preferred.
• Experience with blood collection and patient interaction.
• Ability to pass color blindness test and pass background checks can be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately and timely into the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients; travel to additional sites when needed.
