Job summary

Labcorp in Old Bridge, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves performing venipuncture and capillary collections across age groups, with a Monday–Friday schedule and opportunities to travel to other sites.

Minimum qualifications include a High school diploma or GED and 1+ year phlebotomy experience; a phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferred. Excellent customer service and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willingness to work overtime.
• Must be able to pass a color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood by venipuncture and capillary methods for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately into systems.
• Process billing information and collect payments as needed.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen logs.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients.
• Handle administrative duties as required.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
