Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in East Orange, NJ. The successful candidate will perform blood collections for all ages, ensure accurate data entry, and provide excellent patient service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1+ year of phlebotomy experience, with a phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency preferred. Schedule includes weekdays and rotating Saturdays, with potential travel to additional sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
