Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Phlebotomist for the Peoples Plaza Shopping Center in Newark, DE to join our patient-focused team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques across all age groups and handle data entry, billing, and specimen preparation.

A high school diploma or GED is required; phlebotomy certification or training is preferred, along with 1 year of experience. Schedule is Mon–Fri 6:00am–2:30pm with overtime potential, and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
