Job summary

Ridgemont Resources, Inc. seeks a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract, with potential for permanent placement. The role covers Montgomery County, MD, with first shift hours Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm or 8am–5pm, and EOS 8am–12pm. The position involves blood draws, specimen labeling, and strict adherence to lab procedures.

The candidate should have valid phlebotomy certification, at least 6 months venipuncture experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures. Explains venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrates technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles. Understands physicians' orders and matches lab requisition forms.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples according to required conditions. Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations. Attend annual trainings.
