Job summary

Calqulate is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract in Port Charlotte, FL. The role requires 2–4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience and proficiency with venipuncture in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.

The candidate will perform blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, and data recording while adhering to OSHA and DEP regulations. Pediatric to geriatric care experience is required, with potential for permanent employment.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and specimen labeling, centrifuging, and proper data entry.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Ensure specimens are packaged and transported per protocol and temperature requirements.
• Verify test requisitions against labels and scripts for 100% accuracy.
• Attend department trainings and comply with OSHA/DEP regulations.
