Job summary

Connectly Recruiting is seeking a Phlebotomist in Port Charlotte, FL. The role is a contract position with potential for permanent employment, working Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm. The assignment is projected for 3 months with possible extension and benefits are available.

Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, maintaining records, and safely transporting specimens. 2–4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience is required, along with pediatric to geriatric

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Decontaminate and store specimens per procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
