Job summary

Barrette Workforce Solutions, LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist for Port Charlotte, FL. This contract position runs about 3 months with potential for permanent employment, scheduled Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm. Requires 2–4 years' diagnostic phlebotomy experience, and pediatric to geriatric patient care.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience.
• Pediatric to geriatric patient experience.
• Valid phlebotomy certification required.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge and decontaminate.
• Record maintenance data and update patient information.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Assemble, label, centrifuge, split and freeze specimens as required.
• Ensure test requisitions match specimens and transport samples properly.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend trainings.
• Answer calls and relay results as needed.
