Job summary

Vogrinc Search Group is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract assignment in Port Charlotte, FL. The role involves blood draws, specimen labeling, and adherence to lab procedures, with a schedule of Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm and a projected duration of 3 months with potential to go permanent.

Requirements include 2-4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience and pediatric to geriatric patient care. A valid phlebotomy certification and HS diploma are required, along with proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• 6 months+ venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws and labeling specimens.
• Centrifuging specimens and recording maintenance data.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper temperature controls.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Attend annual department trainings as required.
