Talent With Heart is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Port Charlotte, FL. The position requires 2-4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience and pediatric to geriatric patient handling. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7am–3:30pm, with a 3-month project duration and potential for permanent hire.

Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, maintaining data, and following OSHA/DEP regulations. Certification and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification is required in the employed state.
• 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsabilités

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and store per protocol.
• Ensure test requisitions match and follow OSHA/DEP regulations.
• Attend annual department trainings.
