Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a Pheresis Technician to prepare donors and equipment for the pheresis process, monitor procedures, and ensure accurate donor data entry. The role emphasizes safety, data integrity, and adherence to SOPs.

The candidate will use a PDA for incident recording, maintain a clean work area, and may be cross-trained in other areas. Bilingual skills may be required to meet business needs; high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process; respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents during the pheresis process in the PDA; link equipment and supplies to the donor.
• Link equipment and consumables used to the appropriate donor in the system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor to donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic system per SOPs.
• Understand policies related to hyperimmune programs where applicable.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies are available.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
