Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a Pheresis Technician to prepare donors, equipment, and the pheresis site, monitor the process, and respond to alarms. You will document incidents using a PDA and ensure accurate donor data entry.

The role emphasizes safety, OSHA/HSE compliance, confidentiality, and potential cross-training. A high school diploma and at least three months of medical environment experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for pheresis.
• Prepare autopheresis machine for pheresis.
• Monitor donor and pheresis process; respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents in PDA during pheresis (alarms, events).
• Link equipment and supplies to donor in the PDA.
• Notify supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate donor data entry in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Follow HSE/OSHA policies; promote safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
