Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a role focused on preparing the donor area and equipment for pheresis processing, with emphasis on safety and accurate data entry. You will monitor donors, respond to alarms, and disconnect donors once the process concludes.

You will use a PDA to document incidents, link equipment to donors, and maintain confidentiality. Cross-training and bilingual skills may be required to support operations and safety protocols at the center.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals that may occur during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness and awareness to any reaction donor may have during or after the pheresis process and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents that occur during the pheresis process using a PDA, including machine alerts, alarms, and donor events.
• Link equipment and soft goods used to the appropriate donor in the donor information system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system as SOPs require.
• Understand policies for hyper immune programs at the center if applicable.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies are available; follow HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required at the organization’s discretion.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.
