Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a Pheresis Technician to prepare the donor, area and equipment, monitor the pheresis process, and disconnect the donor once complete. You will ensure accurate data entry in the donor information system and maintain a clean, safe work environment in accordance with SOPs.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 3 months of medical or health provider experience, basic math, and the ability to follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparing the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitors the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintains alertness for donor reactions and notifies appropriate staff.
• Uses PDA to record incidents during pheresis and link equipment to the donor.
• Alerts leadership of donor flow issues.
• Ensures accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Maintains a clean, safe work environment and follows HSE/OSHA policies.
• May be cross-trained; bilingual skills may be required.
