Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a pheresis support technician to prepare donors and equipment, monitor the pheresis process, and respond to alarms. The role involves recording events in the PDA and ensuring donor data is accurately entered per SOPs.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean work area, complying with HSE/OSHA policies, and possibly cross-training in other areas. A high school diploma and at least 3 months of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents in the PDA, including machine alerts and donor events.
• Link equipment and supplies used in the pheresis process to the donor in the system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies are available. Follow HSE/OSHA policies.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual may be required.
