Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a Pheresis Technician to support donor pheresis procedures. You will prepare the donor, donor area and equipment, and ensure the autopheresis machine is ready.

You will monitor the donor and process, respond to alarms, record incidents in the PDA, maintain accurate donor data per SOPs, and follow HSE/OSHA guidelines. Some roles may be cross-trained; bilingual skills may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three months of work experience in a medical or health provider environment or equivalent.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify appropriate staff.
• Use PDA to record incidents, machine alerts, alarms, and donor events.
• Link equipment and supplies to the donor in the PDA system.
• Alert supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information system per SOPs.
• Follow Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) and OSHA policies; promote safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
