Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a dedicated technician to support pheresis procedures. You will prepare donor areas and equipment, monitor the process, and respond to alarms to protect donor safety.

You will document incidents in the PDA and ensure accurate donor data in the electronic system, while adhering to HSE/OSHA policies and maintaining confidentiality. Cross-training and bilingual abilities may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of three months’ work experience in medical/health setting.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents in the PDA for machine alerts, alarms, and donor events.
• Link equipment and supplies to the donor in the system and maintain data accuracy.
• Alert supervisor of donor flow issues and maintain confidentiality of donor information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
