Job summary

CSL Tampa Center seeks a donor pheresis technician to prepare the autopheresis machines and monitor donors throughout the pheresis process, ensuring safety and data integrity. You will document events in the PDA and link equipment to donors in the information system per SOPs.

The role emphasizes adherence to HSE/OSHA policies, confidentiality, and potential cross-training. A high school diploma is required, with medical setting experience preferred and the ability to work overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 months' work experience in medical/health setting preferred.
• Basic math skills required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents using the PDA, including machine alerts and donor events.
• Link equipment and supplies used in the pheresis process to the donor in the donor information system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information system per SOPs.
• Understand policies for hyper immune programs if applicable.
• Maintain clean, efficient work environment and ensure supplies; follow HSE and OSHA policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organization’s discretion.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.
