Pheresis Process Technician

Job summary

CSL in Florida is seeking a detail-oriented donor pheresis technician to prepare the autopheresis machine, monitor donors, and ensure a safe, compliant process. You will work closely with center staff to maintain equipment readiness and accurate donor records.

Responsibilities include responding to alarms, recording incidents in the PDA, and safeguarding donor well-being while following SOPs and safety policies. This role may require overtime and flexibility in shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months' work experience in medical or health provider environment or equivalent.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to wear PPE and follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitors donor and process; responds to alarms.
• Disconnects donor when the process completes.
• Maintains awareness of donor reactions; notifies staff.
• Records incidents using the PDA (alerts, alarms, volume variances, events).
• Links equipment and supplies to the correct donor in the PDA.
• Alerts Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensures accurate donor data in the electronic donor management system per SOPs.
• Understands policies for hyperimmune programs at the center.
• Maintains clean work area; ensures supplies; follows HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintains confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required, at organization’s discretion.
• Performs job-related duties as assigned.
