Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a Plasma Donation Collection Specialist to perform venipuncture and pheresis, monitor the process, and ensure donor safety in strict adherence to SOPs and FDA guidelines.

Responsibilities include donor setup, monitoring, data recording, and post-procedure care, with potential cross-training in other areas. Training on equipment and safety protocols is provided to maintain a positive donor experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum twelve (12) months experience in a medical or health care environment preferred.
• For Centers located in CA additional state certifications or RN qualification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma from donors via pheresis following SOPs and FDA guidelines.
• Perform donor setup, monitoring, and disconnect during the pheresis procedure.
• Record donor data and maintain documentation in the electronic system.
• Monitor donor reactions and assist staff as needed to ensure safety.
• Educate donors on the process, screening, tests, and policies as applicable.
• Troubleshoot equipment and resolve complex alarms or donor issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies are available.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
