Job summary

CSL Vifor's donor center seeks a plasma collection technician to perform venipuncture, monitor the pheresis process and follow SOPs to ensure donor safety and product quality.

You will set up donors, monitor the procedure, troubleshoot equipment, document data in the donor information system and educate donors on the process, screening and nutrition, while maintaining a clean, compliant work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum twelve (12) months experience in a medical or health care environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• For centers located in CA, California-specific requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and monitor the pheresis process following SOPs.
• Set up donors, monitor the procedure, and disconnect donors after collection.
• Evaluate vein performance and adjust as needed to expedite donation and ensure safety.
• Educate new donors on the process, screening, nutrition and center policies.
• Record incidents and donor data using the donor information management system.
