Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 12 months experience in a medical or healthcare environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• For Centers located in CA: must be state certified as Phlebotomy Technician I OR be a Registered Nurse in CA.
• Refer to local job documentation where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Efficient collection of plasma from donors by performing venipuncture and monitoring the pheresis process according to SOPs.
• Perform all aspects of pheresis and plasma collection including donor setup, monitoring, and disconnect.
• Ensure donor safety and product quality by evaluating vein performance and expediting donation time as needed.
• Educate new donors on therapeutic products and donation process, and answer donor questions professionally.
• Record incidents and donor data accurately using the PDA and electronic systems.
• Calibrate equipment and respond to maintenance issues and alarms as outlined in SOPs.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and document incidents; replace equipment as needed.
• Monitor donor flow to maintain continuous turnover and notify supervisors of issues.
• Cross-train in other areas to meet business needs.
