Job summary

CSL Plasma Tulsa is seeking a phlebotomist to support plasma collection via pheresis, donor setup, monitoring and SOP-compliant procedures.

You will perform venipuncture, monitor donors for reactions, document data in the electronic system, educate donors on the process, and assist with equipment issues; cross-training may occur. The role requires a high school diploma, phlebotomy experience, and healthcare exposure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• External candidates must have a minimum of 6 months’ experience as a phlebotomist; one year preferred.
• Internal CSL Employees must have successfully completed the CSL Plasma DST training.
• Minimum twelve (12) months of experience in a medical or health care environment preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform pheresis procedure and plasma collection per SOPs including donor setup, monitoring and disconnect.
• Perform venipuncture to begin the pheresis process in accordance with FDA guidelines.
• Evaluate vein performance and expedite donation time while ensuring donor safety and product quality.
• Educate donors on the screening process, health tests, appointment system and center policies.
• Monitor for donor reactions and assist or notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues and document incidents.
• Maintain a clean, efficient work environment and adhere to HSE/OSHA policies.
