Job summary

CSL Plasma in the United States is hiring for a role focused on plasma collection from donors by performing pheresis and venipuncture in accordance with SOPs. The position emphasizes donor safety, data recording, and equipment troubleshooting.

The successful candidate has medical/healthcare experience (phlebotomy preferred) and is able to educate donors on procedures and policies while maintaining a high standard of safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum twelve (12) months of experience in a medical or health care environment.
• External candidates must have a minimum of 6 months' experience as a phlebotomist; one year preferable.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pheresis procedure including donor setup, monitoring, and disconnect.
• Perform venipuncture per SOPs and FDA guidelines.
• Assess vein performance and adjust process for efficiency and safety.
• Educate donors on donation process and center policies.
• Monitor for donor reactions and assist staff as needed.
• Record incidents and donor data in the electronic system.
• Troubleshoot equipment and replace as needed.
• Maintain clean work environment and ensure supplies.
• Wear PPE and follow HSE/OSHA policies.
• May be cross-trained in other areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
