Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum six months experience as a phlebotomist; one year preferred.
• Minimum twelve months of experience in a medical or health care environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs pheresis procedure and plasma collection per SOPs.
• Opens venipuncture to begin pheresis process under SOP guidelines.
• Monitors donor vein performance and adjusts to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Educates new donors on donation process, health screening tests, and policies.
• Responds to donor reactions and notifies appropriate staff; records incidents in PDA.
• Troubleshoots equipment, documents incidents, and replaces faulty equipment.
• Maintains donor flow on the floor and ensures data is accurately recorded in the donor system.
