Job summary

CSL is seeking an experienced donor services professional to perform pheresis procedures and plasma collection. You will prepare donors, monitor the pheresis process, and ensure adherence to SOPs and FDA guidelines.

The role includes donor education, data recording, and responding to any donor reactions. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least 12 months in a medical setting, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and patient service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum twelve (12) months experience in a medical or health care environment preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma from donors by venipuncture and monitor the pheresis process per SOPs.
• Set up donors, monitor during pheresis, and disconnect after collection.
• Perform venipuncture for pheresis in compliance with FDA guidelines.
• Evaluate donor vein performance and adjust to ensure quality and safety.
• Educate new donors on the donation process and center policies as needed.
• Monitor for donor reactions and assist or escalate as required.
• Record incidents and donor data using the PDA and electronic systems.
• Calibrate equipment and respond to alarms or issues per SOPs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies are available.
