Job summary

CSL is seeking a donor pheresis technician to collect plasma from donors by performing venipuncture and monitoring the pheresis process in a compliant clinical setting. You will follow SOPs and FDA guidelines, manage donor setup and monitoring, and record data using the donor information system.

You will assess vein performance, address issues to expedite collection, and educate donors about procedures and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 12 months experience in a medical or health care environment preferred.
• State certification as Phlebotomy Technician I or RN license in California.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma from donors by performing venipuncture and monitoring pheresis.
• Follow SOPs and FDA guidelines during donation procedures.
• Monitor donor vein performance and adjust to expedite donation time.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information system.
• Identify and respond to donor reactions and ensure donor safety.
• Calibrate and maintain pheresis equipment and troubleshoot alarms.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and promote safety policies.
