Job summary

CSL Plasma in Dallas is seeking a phlebotomist to perform plasma collection via pheresis, including donor setup, monitoring and disconnect, while following SOPs.

You will collect samples, enter donor data in the electronic management system, maintain equipment, and respond to donor reactions. Requires a high school diploma and 6 months of phlebotomy experience; safety and OSHA compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• External candidates must have a minimum of 6 months' experience as a phlebotomist; one year preferable.
• Minimum twelve (12) months of experience in a medical or health care environment preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs pheresis procedures including donor setup, monitoring and disconnect.
• Performs venipuncture to initiate pheresis per SOPs.
• Evaluates donor vein performance and expedites donation while ensuring safety.
• Educates donors about plasma products, screening, appointments, and policies.
• Monitors donor for adverse reactions and assists staff or notifies appropriate personnel.
• Uses PDA to record incidents during pheresis and manage data.
• Performs calibrations and ensures maintenance per SOPs.
• Troubleshoots equipment failures and documents incidents.
• Monitors donor flow to maintain turnover.
• Collects arm samples or whole blood for testing.
• Records donor data in electronic donor information management system.
