Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a plasma pheresis technician to collect plasma from donors, perform venipuncture, monitor the process, and ensure donor safety in a compliant environment.

Responsibilities include educating donors, recording data in the electronic system, handling equipment alarms, and maintaining safety and cleanliness in the center. Some roles may require cross-training and bilingual capabilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience as a phlebotomist for external candidates; 12 months in medical/healthcare environment preferred.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organization's discretion.

Responsibilities

• Perform pheresis and plasma collection per SOPs, including donor setup and monitoring.
• Perform venipuncture to begin pheresis per FDA guidelines.
• Monitor donor vein performance and adjust to ensure efficient donation and donor safety.
• Educate donors on plasmapheresis, screening, tests, appointment system, fees, policies, and nutrition.
• Record incidents and donor data in the electronic system; respond to alarms or adverse events.
• Maintain equipment and labor safety, assist with reactions, and ensure a clean work area.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
