Job summary

CSL Plasma in Lansing, MI is seeking a full-time Donor Center Technician to support pheresis procedures. Responsibilities include preparing donors, equipment, and the pheresis machine; monitoring the process and donor safety; documenting events in the PDA; and ensuring accurate donor data and a safe work environment.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least three months of related experience or education.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of three months' work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
Prepare autopheresis machine for pheresis.
Monitor donor and pheresis process; respond to alarms or signals during the process.
Disconnect donor when the process is complete.
Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify appropriate staff.
Use PDA to record incidents, machine alerts, and donor events.
Link equipment and supplies to donor in PDA.
Alert supervisor of donor flow issues.
Ensure accurate donor data in the electronic system per SOPs.
Follow policies for hyper immune programs where applicable.
Maintain clean, efficient work environment and ensure supplies.
Follow HSE and OSHA policies; promote safety.
Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor and center information.
May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
