Job summary

CSL Plasma Flint, MI is seeking a part-time Pheresis Technician to prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process. You will monitor the donor, respond to alarms, and ensure accurate data entry and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include recording incidents with a PDA, maintaining a clean work environment, and following HSE/OSHA policies. A high school diploma and basic math ability are required; healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months' work experience, preferably in medical or health-provider environment or equivalent.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions.
• Must be able to see and speak with customers and observe equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitors the donor and the pheresis process; responds to alarms or signals.
• Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintains alertness for donor reactions and notifies staff as needed.
• Uses a PDA to record incidents and connect equipment to donors.
• Links equipment and consumables to the appropriate donor in the system.
• Alerts supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensures accurate donor data recording in the donor information system.
• Adheres to SOPs and center policies on safety and confidentiality.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required per organizational needs.
