Job summary

CSL Plasma Sterling Heights, MI is seeking a full-time Donor Center Support to join our team in a busy pheresis center. You will prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process, monitor the donor and the process, and ensure accurate data entry in the donor information management system.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least three months of related work experience, and basic math.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) months' work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness and awareness to any reaction donor may have during or after the pheresis process and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents using the PDA, including machine alerts and donor events.
• Link equipment and supplies to the donor in the donor information system.
• Alert supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information system.
