Job summary

CSL Plasma in Jackson, Michigan is seeking a full-time Process Technician to support pheresis operations. You will prepare the donor area, equipment, and autopheresis machine for the pheresis process, ensuring readiness for each donor session.

You will monitor the donor and the procedure, respond to alarms, document incidents in the PDA, link equipment to donors, and maintain accurate donor data in the electronic system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three months' work experience, preferably in a medical or health provider environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process; respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions during or after pheresis and notify staff as needed.
• Use PDA to record incidents during the pheresis process (machine alerts, alarms, volume variances, donor adverse events).
• Use PDA to link equipment and soft goods used to the appropriate donor.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Follow policies and procedures associated with hyper immune programs; maintain safety and confidentiality.
• Maintain a clean, efficient work environment and ensure supplies are available; follow HSE and OSHA policies.
