Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a Pheresis Technician to prepare donors, areas and equipment for the pheresis process at our Michigan facility. The role involves monitoring during the procedure, responding to alarms, and safely disconnecting donors when the session ends.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three months of related experience, with basic math skills and potential bilingual responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months' work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to any donor reactions during or after pheresis and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and donor data using the PDA and link equipment to the donor.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies and promote safety in all actions.
• Maintain a clean, efficient work environment and ensure supplies are available.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required at the organization's discretion.
