Job summary

CSL Plasma in Ohio is seeking a donor center technician to prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process, and to monitor the donor and machine throughout the procedure. Responsibilities include recording incidents using PDA, linking equipment to donors, maintaining a clean work environment, and following HSE/OSHA policies.

A high school diploma and at least three months of medical or health provider experience are required; basic math skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have basic math skills to perform calculations.
• Minimum of three months' work experience in medical or health provider environment or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain awareness of donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents using the PDA, including machine alerts and donor events.
• Link equipment and supplies to the appropriate donor in the system.
• Ensure donor data is accurately recorded in the electronic management system.
• Follow HSE/OSHA policies and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
