Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking personnel to support pheresis procedures in a donor center. You will prep the donor, area, and equipment, monitor during the procedure, and promptly respond to alarms or donor concerns. You will use a PDA to document incidents and ensure correct data linkage to donors.

The role requires basic math, at least three months in a medical setting, and a high school diploma. Cross-training and bilingual ability may be needed to meet center requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.
• Minimum of three (3) months' work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to any donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Use PDA to record incidents such as alarms, volume variances and adverse events.
• Link equipment and supplies to the appropriate donor in the system.
• Alert supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies and promote safety.
• Maintain donor, personnel and center information confidentiality.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required to meet business needs.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.
