Job summary

CSL is seeking a dedicated pheresis support technician to prepare donors, donor areas, and equipment for the pheresis process, monitor the donor and machine, and respond to alarms. You will document incidents and link equipment to donors using the PDA, while ensuring data accuracy and adherence to SOPs.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least 3 months in a medical environment, basic math skills, and may involve bilingual work.

Qualifications

Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to perform basic math calculations.
Differing qualifications or responsibilities may apply based on local legal and/or educational requirements.

Responsibilities

Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals during the process.
Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
Maintain alertness to any reaction, notify appropriate staff.
Record incidents in the Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) and link equipment to the donor.
Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
Maintain a clean, efficient work environment and ensure supplies are available; follow HSE/OSHA policies.
