Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a Pheresis Technician to prepare donors, equipment, and the pheresis process, while monitoring donors and responding to alarms. You will record incidents in the PDA and ensure accurate donor data entry. The role requires adherence to HSE/OSHA policies and may include cross-training in other areas.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and at least 3 months in a medical setting, with basic math skills. Bilingual capacity may be required by the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience in medical or health provider environment or equivalent
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations
• Bilingual skills may be required, at the organization’s discretion

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process
• Prepare autopheresis machine for pheresis process
• Monitor donor and pheresis process; respond to alarms or signals
• Disconnect donor after the process completes
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed
• Record incidents using PDA, including machine alerts and donor events
• Link equipment and supplies to the appropriate donor in the PDA
• Report donor flow issues to supervisor
• Ensure accurate donor data entry in the electronic donor information management system
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies and maintain a clean work environment
• Maintain donor, personnel, and center information confidentiality
• May be cross-trained in other areas
