Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a Pheresis Technician to support donor pheresis procedures. You will prepare the donor, area, and equipment, monitor the process, and respond to alarms to ensure donor safety.

You will document incidents, link equipment to donors in the system, and maintain accurate donor data per SOPs. The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least three months in a medical setting, with basic math skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months' work experience in a medical or health provider environment or equivalent.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process; respond to alarms or signals as needed.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify appropriate staff as needed.
• Record incidents using the PDA, including alarms, variances and adverse events.
• Link equipment and supplies used to the donor in the donor information system.
• Alert the Group Leader or Supervisor to donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies are available; follow HSE/OSHA policies.
