Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a donor center technician to support pheresis procedures. You will prepare donors, equipment, and the autopheresis machine, monitor the procedure and donor safety, and document incidents and donor data in the electronic system.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 months of related experience, with basic math skills. Some roles may require bilingual abilities and cross-training in other areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process, respond to alarms/signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents in the PDA, including machine alerts and donor events.
• Link equipment and supplies to the donor in the donor information system.
• Alert supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate donor data recording per SOPs.
