Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking personnel to support the pheresis process, ensuring donor preparation, machine setup and attentive monitoring throughout the procedure. The role includes recording incidents using the PDA and maintaining donor data in the electronic system.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, at least three months in a medical setting, and the ability to perform basic math. Some positions may require bilingual skills and cross-training in other areas.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three months' work experience in a medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and equipment linkage in the PDA and donor information system.
• Link equipment and supplies to the appropriate donor in the PDA.
• Alert supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information system.
• Follow SOPs and maintain confidentiality of donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas and bilingual skills may be required.
