Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking an individual to support pheresis procedures, including donor preparation, machine setup, monitoring, and data recording. The role requires attention to donor safety, accurate documentation, and adherence to SOPs.

The candidate should have a high school diploma and at least three months of relevant experience, preferably in a medical setting. Cross-training and bilingual capability may be required. This position is on-site in a sterile donor center environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of three months' work experience, preferably in a medical or health provider environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to any donor reaction during or after pheresis and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents using PDA, including machine alerts, alarms, volume variances and adverse events.
• Link equipment and supplies to the appropriate donor in the donor information system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate donor data entry in electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Understand policies for hyper immune programs where applicable.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies and forms; follow HSE and OSHA policies.
