Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a Donor Center Technician to support pheresis procedures, preparing donors, equipment, and the donor area. You will monitor the pheresis process, address alarms, and disconnect the donor at the end. Accuracy in donor data and safety compliance are essential.

Strong mathematical ability and attention to donor welfare are required. Local, on-site work with potential cross-training and bilingual needs may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and linkage of equipment to donor in the PDA.
• Link equipment and supplies to the donor in the system.
• Alert supervisor of donor flow issues and ensure data accuracy.
• Follow HSE/OSHA policies and maintain confidentiality.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required at the organization's discretion.
