Job summary

CSL is seeking a Pheresis Technician to support donor pheresis procedures and ensure donor safety at the center. You will prepare donor areas and equipment, monitor the process, respond to alarms, and disconnect the donor when complete.

You will document incidents using a PDA, ensure data accuracy in the donor information system, follow HSE/OSHA policies, and maintain a clean, safe work environment with potential cross-training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.
• Bilingual skills may be required, at the discretion of the organization, to meet the needs of the business.

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents using PDA and link equipment to the donor in the information system.
• Adhere to SOPs and maintain confidentiality of donor and center information.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies are available.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
