Job summary

CSL is seeking a donor pheresis technician to support the pheresis procedure by preparing the donor, area and equipment, and monitoring the process. You will respond to alarms, disconnect the donor when complete, and maintain donor safety and data accuracy using a PDA and the electronic donor information management system.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, compliant work area, following HSE/OSHA policies, and protecting donor and center information.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum of three months' work experience, preferably in a medical or health provider environment or equivalent.
Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
Monitor the donor and pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
Maintain alertness to donor reactions during or after pheresis and notify staff.
Use a PDA to record incidents and link equipment to the donor.
Document donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
Ensure a clean, safe work environment and maintain supplies.
Follow HSE and OSHA policies and promote safety in all actions.
Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor and center information.
May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
