CSL is seeking a donor pheresis technician in the United States, NY region, to prepare donors and equipment for pheresis and monitor the process. The role involves responding to alarms, documenting incidents with a PDA, and ensuring accurate data entry in the donor management system.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three months of experience in a medical or health-provider environment, with basic math skills. Wage range is provided in the posting.

Formación

• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions during or after the pheresis process and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents during the pheresis process using the PDA, including alarms and donor events.
• Link equipment and consumables to the appropriate donor in the system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate donor data entry in the electronic donor information system as SOPs require.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and supply levels, adhering to HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintain donor, personnel, and center confidentiality.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organization's discretion.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
