CSL is seeking a Pheresis Support Technician to prepare the donor area and equipment for the pheresis process. The role requires careful monitoring of the donor and process, with prompt response to alarms and secure donor safety throughout and after the procedure.

Responsibilities include using the PDA to log incidents, linking equipment to donors, and maintaining accurate donor records in the electronic system. A high school diploma and basic math skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months’ work experience in medical or health provider environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Willingness to wear PPE and work in fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, responding to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain awareness of donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Use PDA to record incidents, machine alerts, volume variances, and donor events.
• Link equipment and soft goods used to the appropriate donor in the PDA.
• Inform supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system as SOPs require.
• Understand policies related to hyperimmune programs at the center if applicable.
• Maintain a clean, efficient work environment with sufficient supplies and forms.
