Job summary

CSL in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Pheresis Process Support Associate to prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for pheresis processing and to monitor the donor and system during procedures.

This role reports to the Assistant Center Manager and requires attention to safety, accurate data entry with the PDA, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining donor confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months’ work experience in medical or health provider environment or equivalent.
• Basic math calculations required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to any reaction donor may have during or after the pheresis process and notify appropriate staff.
• Use PDA to record incidents during the pheresis process (machine alerts, volume variances, donor adverse events).
• Link equipment and soft goods used in the pheresis process to the donor in the system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Understand policies regarding hyper immune programs if applicable.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies are available; follow HSE/OSHA policies and promote safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor, and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organizational discretion.
